The European Championships is the pinnacle meeting for young dressage talents. Each year, about sixty riders in each category meet on the rectangles of the most beautiful European equestrian centres. Year after year this summer event brings together the best of the young European hopefuls in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
To be able to compete in the European Championship each couple (rider/horse) must meet the qualifying criteria of the International Equestrian Federation. Then the ‘chefs’ d’équipes’ of each nation compose their delegations of 3 or 4 riders.
Those countries without enough riders for the team event can participate individually.
For the Young Riders and Juniors categories, the participants ride in three tests after which are awarded three titles:
