The European Championships is the pinnacle meeting for young dressage talents. Each year, about sixty riders in each category meet on the rectangles of the most beautiful European equestrian centres. Year after year this summer event brings together the best of the young European hopefuls in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
To be able to compete in the European Championship each couple (rider/horse) must meet the qualifying criteria of the International Equestrian Federation. Then the ‘chefs’ d’équipes’ of each nation compose their delegations of 3 or 4 riders.
Those countries without enough riders for the team event can participate individually.
For the Young Riders and Juniors categories, the participants ride in three tests after which are awarded three titles:
The Children category is new to the Championship. Because of the tender age of the competitors, there is no freestyle test. Two titles of European Champion are awarded:
Do not miss the finale of the "Grand Régional Côte d'Azur" at the Grands Pins. The competition area is going to host 3 days of intenses competitions with tests for profesional riders, amateur and club/pony.

From 4th to 15th of March 2015, the Domaine Equestre des Grands Pins will be hosting for the sixth consecutive year the "VIDAUBAN DRESSAGE FESTIVAL" (formerly Spring Tour), a three and five star international dressage competition. This event is THE competitive rendez vous of the beginning of the equestrian year.
The 2015 edition will draw attention with two big competitions each weekend:
Created in 2013 by the FEI, this circuit team attracts many countries. Real training for high level events like the European championship, the World Equestrian Games or the Olympic Games, the new edition will be composed by seven legs (Vidauban, Wellington, Rotterdam, Aalborg, Aix-la-Chapelle, Falsterbo and Hickstead).
FFE DRESS'TOUR
The second weekend will host this French high level circuit, whose purpose is to identify French couples with potential. The Federation supports and helps French riders in their progress to the high level by bonus if they achieve the minimum technical contract in CDI3*.
Elite competition, the WDM was founded in 2008. This year, four cities are going to receive the best riders and horses in the world: Vidauban, Munich, Falsterbo and Mechelen. Maximum 20 riders can compete in the CDI5* with a prize money of 90 000 €.
